On Tuesday 27th September, Channel 4 started airing "The Unteachables", a fascinating programme which took a group of teenagers with serious attendance and behavioural problems in school and invited them to participate in a five month ground-breaking educational project. The project involves the use of "alternative" teaching methods to see if it affects pupils' attitudes towards teaching staff and interest in education.
The upshot appears to be that even the most unruly pupil will learn and study if the approach to his or her education is approached agreeably. |

Working with Kaius, we produced a Flash drag and drop "Classroom Builder" which now resides on Channel 4's Unteachables minisite. Classroom Builder is not an exercise in reality (trees, sofas, trampolines, etc. can be added to any classroom!) but is device to encourage creativity as well as provide a basic understanding of working within a budget. Classroom Builder can seen here. Finished: 11/09/2005 Other work projects / Top of page |
