Freelance project for Match, a football magazine aimed at youngsters.

The biggest challenge in making this game was working out and programming a basic AI for the computer-controlled opponent. He's not perfect, but he's really hard to beat; it can be done with a bit of perseverance, as the kids who visit matchmag.co.uk regularly proved.

Unlike the one at matchmag.co.uk, the version of Matchball above doesn't load and save the high score table. Matchball requires a 12 year old son to make you look really bad at it.
