Korea has no official whaling programme, so if a whale or dolphin is found dead in a fishing net, it can be sold for huge prices on the open market. Possibly as a result of this, Korea has one of the highest cetacean bycatch incidents in the world. Greenpeace has teamed up with the Korean Federation for the Environment Movement to highlight the plight of the whales and raise awareness of these issues.

Greenpeace provided an open brief: to produce "something cool, crazy, and involving whales... think laterally to get something that would appeal to the Koreans, and it would have to be sickeningly cute."

Teaming up again with Kaius, we set about creating and developing something original and totally different in terms of gameplay and visual style to Eco Quest, complete with provision for translation into Korean. After much deliberation Whale-Flip! is the final product, which we're really proud of: it's simple to pick up and looks, sounds and feels just right. Oh, and most importantly, Whale-Flip's a ton of fun to play!
